I've been following the work of this chap for a while now. He's based in Montreal, Canada and I'm liking his style. Go spy at http://mathieu-beaulieu.blogspot.com/
[REWORK #4] BUSINESS CARD.
[REWORK #3] FAKE MOUSTACHE PACK.
I bought my girlfriend a pack of these 'stylish' fake moustaches and thought the idea far surpassed the design of the packaging so had a BASH at redesigning it...
THINGS I SEE.
Some more pieces I've found whilst scouring the internet. The second image is a photo of toilet door signage but I'm not sure in which venue they're used and the third looks like another anamorphic masterpiece from Julian Beever, http://users.skynet.be/J.Beever/pave.htm. Enjoy...
REPACKAGING THE PILL.
One empty 'Jelly Belly' case + One packet of Microgynon + BASHgraphics = Fun packaging for contraception. Now my girlfriend can murder my tadpoles with a smile on her face.
BANKSY VS BRISTOL MUSEUM.
Here are some snaps from the Banksy exhibition currently on display at the Bristol Museum. The work he's put forward is brilliant. Some typical Banksy stencil pieces but also many 3D installations that feature clever animatronics. Not only has he filled the ground floor with his work he's also added to various displays around the rest of the museum. A definite MUST-SEE this summer...
I've started doing some hand drawn illustrations to pass the time instead of jumping straight onto the Mac. Here are my first five attempts...
THINGS I SEE.
The first two are pavement signage for tennis in Bristol. Quite a nice way of getting your message noticed. I'm not 100% sure how it's done - I guess a stencil is cut, layed on the paving and then the ground is jet washed, leaving the cut-out design visible on cleaned stone.
NICE LETTERPRESS WORK.
The following articles are pieces from StudioOnFire's catalogue of work, who create blinding letterpress prints for various companies. Go check their work at http://studioonfire.com/ and http://www.beastpieces.com/
BRISTOL DESIGN WEEK.
Last week celebrated the Bristol design week where various exhibitions took place all around the city. Here are some photos of a couple of the shows. I managed to grab a small space for the last two days to display a few pieces in the Old Fire Station. And watch this space for photos of the Banksy exhibition that's currently taking place.
